On July 1, 2003, the Metropolitan Tucson Convention and Visitors Bureau took over the day-to-day operations of the Tucson Film Office. This move was made in recognition of the significant economic value of film-related activities to the community. Charged with attracting film, video and photo shoots to Southeastern Arizona, the Tucson Film Office makes a positive economic impact by providing jobs and money to the local economy.

With close proximity to Hollywood, 350 days of sunshine and location possibilities that include almost every type of riparian area, the Tucson and Southeastern Arizona region continues to attract a growing portion of the entertainment industry's market.
